Do I have to pay for an ambulance?

No. We believe you have enough to deal with in an emergency without worrying about the cost of an ambulance. Therefore you will not have to cover the cost of an ambulance call out as a result of using your AlphaCare emergency medical alarm.

 

Can my spouse use the alarm if they have an emergency?

Yes. As far as we are concerned, it is there for any kind of emergency in your household, no matter who needs help, and at no extra cost.

 

Will the alarm work if I’m on the internet?

Most definitely. At the time we install the alarm we will discuss and demonstrate this to you.

In setting up your alarm and your personal response plan we will talk to you about having a key hidden outside. Having been in the business for a good long time now, we can usually find an unobtrusive place to hide it. In fact we pride ourselves in the fact that we have never had an inappropriate person find a hidden key. We also assure you that the information about its location is kept strictly confidential. Some of our clients have been uncomfortable about that and so, for a small fee, we can supply a combination lock box.

Anytime you are not sure, or if a family member asks if it is still working,  just press your emergency button and wait for the phone to ring. We’re not going to charge you for the call, and when our monitoring people call you back just let them know you were only checking to see that it was still working.

The equipment is very sophisticated these days and lets us know the moment the back-up battery inside the alarm is wearing down. One of our service people will visit you to sort it out, probably before you are even aware there is a problem.

There is a variety of ways to wear the emergency button/pendant, depending on your circumstances. You can wear it on a chain around your neck, on a wrist strap, clipped to your clothing or underwear, or hang it from your trouser belt.  You may prefer to have more than one option, so ask about the necklace, wrist strap, clip and carabiner to see which suits your lifestyle and needs.  Whichever way you wear it, be sure to keep it on every day, all day and night. So choose the most convenient and comfortable way for your lifestyle and keep it on all the time.

The best thing about is how simple it is. We connect a small ‘alarm box’ to your telephone, and you wear a small emergency button/pendant. If you have an emergency you just press the button. This sends a signal to the alarm box, which in turn sends a message down the phone line to our monitoring room.
